I have heard of age differences that big because of accidents. But I also know my grandmother had her three kids spaced far apart, and she has said she always just had a kid whenever she found herself really wanting another one.

Having kids, no matter what the age is NOT a way to save a marriage.

Maybe they chose to have children that far apart? Maybe the 2nd baby was a menopause baby where the woman thought she was done menstruating and really wasn’t, so she got pregnant. Why are you judging? You have no idea why the children have a 10 year age difference, and it’s none of your business anyway.
