that the trouble you are dealing with in your marriages is because God is ABSENT? Marriage is a principle formed by God. He brings man and woman together. He tells you to cleave to each other. When you encounter situations that are beyond your ability to control, manipulate, force or fix…why dont you try God? He is ABLE beloved….There is no hurt that heaven cant heal…
Before you start looking for carnal answers to your problem, from people whose first response is ‘give up..throw in the towel, drop ‘em like a bad habit, and divorce’….STOP…and get God involved. I promise you that when you yield to God..He will work miracles on your behalf and save your marriage.

amen “Honest”…they do go before God..but even when they do we must exhort and encourage them that…God is able to see them thru….if they would just yield to Him.

David- I would venture to say that the qualities you mentioned…when applied as God intended…will result in a ‘happy’ marriage yes. The difficulty is that people have muddled the concepts and the result is a thousand ‘marriage’ books trying to figure out what God made really plain in His Word.
Happy-2- I would not boast in being ‘carnal’ nor worldly. The problem that is beyond your ability to solve ‘carnally’ will be the true test of your marriage. What will you do then? Give up?
There is no need to become offended at what Im saying. To view it with reproach is like criticizing someone for throwing a life raft to drowning people. I pray when and if, you are ever in their position, you would not spurn the same help.

But, I’m NOT dealing with trouble in my marriage. My wife and I have successfully found carnal answers to the problems we did have. We are happily married, and we have been married for 21 years.
Later edit: I wasn’t boasting, merely stating fact. At this point, the evidence is on my side. Come across something we can’t handle carnally? If after 21 years we haven’t met such an obstacle, we’re almost certainly not going to. If you’d say that to me, would you say it to a couple that had been married 30 years? 50? What if they’re on their death beds and still haven’t had a single problem they couldn’t solve carnally? I still have never heard anyone make any generalization about all people that turned out to be correct 100% of the time. I applaud your faith, but some of us can and do make it just fine as simple human beings. And why not? God created us in His image, and we did, after all, partake of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, so it’s obvious we must have some capability!
